About Lanotec

Lanotec Australia Pty Ltd was established in 1998 as a manufacturer of non-toxic, biodegradable, and environmentally friendlier corrosion inhibitors and lubricants which are made from Lanolin (wool grease); and industrial strength degreasers made from a blend of organic solvents. Lanotec products are extremely versatile and able to reduce petrochemical consumables and maintenance costs while addressing HSE issues.

In June 2018, Lanotec received the prestigious Global Green TagTM Certification for 3 products relating to sustainable development and green-certified products. This reinforces the position of the Lanotec brand as a trusted and widely recognised global environmental manufacturer.

Natural and Sustainable Products

At Lanotec, we develop environmentally-friendly products based on the unique properties of lanolin, organic Methyl Ester, coconut oil and other natural ingredients. Our products are formulated from raw materials with natural corrosion prevention and lubrication properties, perfectly suited to withstand the extreme and varied climates.

Our company name is inspired by lanolin, a natural substance secreted by sheep to provide a protective coating on their fleece. At Lanotec, we use a specialised process to convert raw wool grease (lanolin) into a range of non-toxic, environmentally-friendly products. We’ve established trusted working relationships with Australian wool scourers and continue to support the country’s wool industry

The Lanotec product range is designed and manufactured in Australia, in our Brisbane production facility.

Our products are manufactured to strict quality standards and undergo independent application testing in National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) certified laboratories.

We also comply with the following quality standards:

  • HACCP: Lanotec Grease, Heavy Duty Liquid Lanolin and General Purpose Liquid Lanolin are endorsed for use in industries operating a HACCP-based food safety program.

  • TAHER Accreditation (HALAL): Lanotec is accredited to manufacture TAHER (SUCI) goods for handling by Muslims.

  • NZFSA (New Zealand Food Safety Authority): C12-Grease, General Purpose Liquid Lanolin, Heavy Duty Liquid Lanolin and Citra-Force are approved for use in premises processing all animal products except dairy, operating under the Animal Products Act 1999.

  • AQIS (Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service): Lanotec products are approved for use in export registered meat establishments.
